My stay at the lodge was absolutely amazing. The picturesque rural setting was exactly what I was looking for, and the property had everything I needed for a comfortable and peaceful getaway. The underfloor heating was a nice touch, keeping the lodge warm and cozy, and the complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits were a pleasant surprise. The house manager was very helpful, and the information provided in the lodge, including an OS map of the area, was really useful for exploring. Even though I had some concerns about the spiral staircase being challenging for people with mobility problems, I overall had a fantastic experience at Drum Gate Lodge. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and beautiful location for their stay. I'd definitely recommend this place.

We had the most amazing stay at this cozy and charming gate lodge. the house manager was incredibly helpful, making us feel welcome and showing us around. the bed was super comfortable, and we loved the underfloor heating. the complimentary milk, tea, coffee, and biscuits were a delightful surprise. the lodge also had an OS map and other tourist information, which was really useful. the location was perfect, close to historical, cultural, and tourist sites. We loved the private setting and the fact that there was no technology except for a radio/CD player and some classic books and games. It was a picturesque rural setting, and Brenda, our host, was lovely.
We highly recommend this gate lodge and would definitely book again. Cons: Nothing to fault.

The location was amazing, surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to a charming town. the property itself had a unique and cozy atmosphere, with comfortable furniture and a warm ambiance. the complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits were a lovely touch. the house manager was also very helpful and friendly.
This made it difficult to stay connected and entertained during the evenings, especially when the weather was rainy. It would have been nice to have some form of entertainment options provided, such as board games or books, to make up for the lack of technological amenities.

The terrace at this charming property was like stepping into a fairytale garden. With the sun shining down and the gentle breeze rustling the flowers, I felt like I had wandered into a scene from a Jane Austen novel.
Limited bathroom toiletries.

Quaint, comfy, beautiful countryside setting, lovely donkeys next door, great location near Bushmills town, welcoming host Brenda.
Could not be improved in any way.

Loved the "towels" provided, they were more like sandpaper! Just what I needed for a rough exfoliation experience. Also enjoyed the "kitchenette" that rivals the size of a mouse's kitchen. So cute!
Not a fan of the "free private parking", I would have preferred parking my car on the roof. Much more adventurous.
